Microsoft recently launched the new operating system Windows 10 S. This Operating System is Education focused. In this new operating, applications downloaded only from pre-installed applications or Windows Store will work. It is believed that it has been launched from Microsoft in response to Google Chrome OS which is a cloud-based operating system and is quite popular in schools.
Windows 10 will only run apps downloaded from pre-installed apps and Windows Store. It has been done for safety and security. The Office 365 is also coming soon in the Windows Store. Windows 10S will also work with upcoming MIXED real-time headset technology.
If someone tries to install software in this operating system that is not present in the Windows Store, then Windows will automatically give information about the same type of app in Windows itself. However, if the administrator feels like using more apps that are not available in the Windows Store. In such a situation, the user can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.
Windows 10 S can be run in any laptop which has a regular Windows 10 running. Microsoft has partnered with Acer, Asus, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Samsung and Toshiba for this new operating system. The initial cost of Windows 10 education Pc will be $ 189. Office 365 for Education will be free for students and teachers and Windows 10 S will be available for all schools where there are Windows 10 Pro PCs.
