Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani introduced the much-awaited JioPhone in the company’s 40th Annual General Meeting which will be made available to the selected customers for trial from 15th August. JioPhone can be pre-booked from August 24 and will be made available to customers from September 1.
Interested customers can pre-book JioPhone from MyJio App or Jio Retail Store on August 24. The price of JioPhone has been kept at Rs 0. However, for the security, the company will charge from you Rs 1,500, which will be refunded after 3 years. This JioPhone was launched by Akash and Isha Ambani, the feature of this phone was told that it will support voice commands. It has support of 2.4-inch QVGA display, Micro SD card slot, flashlight, FM radio, Panic button and 22 languages. This phone has been introduced with 4G support.
This intelligent phone will have dual SIM support, 2 megapixel camera in rear, VGA camera in front, 4GB internal storage and 512MB RAM. The biggest feature is that this JioPhone will be able to connect to any TV to view JioTV and JioCinema content on the big screen.
For Jio Phone bookings online, you can check the MyJio app on August 24. Till then, you can sign up for updates on the Jio.com website, clicking on Keep Me Posted, and filling the required details. If you do not have access to the MyJio app, you can opt for the offline Jio Phone booking process by heading to an offline Jio retailer on August 24. Remember though, the handset will be delivered to you in September, even if you pre-ordered it on the first day bookings open. The company says it will deliver the 4G feature phone on first come, first serve basis, and that it aims to deliver 5 million units each week.
