Chinese Smartphone maker Company Gionee launches its Selfie Centric Smartphone A1 Lite in India. Its price is Rs 14,999 in India.The sale will commence from August 10, 2017 and will be made available in all offline retail stores across India. The major highlight of this Smartphone is its two features: 20 megapixel Selfie camera and 4000 mAh battery. The company had introduced its two variants in India: Gionee A1 and Gionee A1 Plus.
It features a 5.3 inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display offers 3GB RAM with 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753V octa-core processor. Its internal memory is 32GB which can be increased to 256GB via hybrid micro SD card. This Smartphone run on Android Nougat 7.0 based Amingo OS 4.0 and it supports hybrid dual-SIM slots (Nano + Nano / microSD).
For photography it has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash support. For selfies, it has also been given a 20 megapixel front camera with soft LED flash support as well.
The Smartphone packs a 4,000mAh battery, the company claims that its battery can provide uninterrupted backup upto 30 hours while browsing the web, reading content or even watching the video.
For connectivity standard features has been provided these include Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 4G and Micro USB connectors. The dimensions of the Gionee A1 Lite measure at 150.5×74.4x8mm.
To lure its customers Gionee partnered with Airtel and Paytm. Airtel will provide 10GB extra data every month on purchasing it. Apart from this Paytm will also provide its customers cashback on purchasing Gionee A1Lite or Gionee A1 Lite Plus from its Paytm Mall online. These offers remain valid for six months after purchasing these Smartphones.
While speaking on the launch, Alok Shrivastava, Director – Business Intelligence and Planning, Gionee head in India said, “India is an extremely important market for us and we have our full focus on bringing in customized products for the Indian consumer keeping in view the growing demand of quality smartphones”.
